Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Parentodo, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. The service

Parentodo helps parents organize family-related tasks and events from shared/imported content and manual entry, with optional AI extraction, local reminders, cloud sync, and family sharing.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. The app is intended for adults (parents / caregivers), not children as primary users. Do not create an account for a child to use.

4. Account

You sign in with Google Sign-In. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not upload content you lack rights to process
• Do not access others’ data except via legitimate family sharing
• Do not abuse invites, scrape, or bypass security
• Do not use the app to harm minors or violate applicable laws

6. AI extraction

AI suggestions are assistive only. You must review candidates before confirming. Perfect extraction is not guaranteed: dates, times, amounts and names can be read wrongly, and content can be missed. You remain responsible for what you save, and for checking anything that matters against the original notice.

7. Not professional advice

Parentodo is an organizing tool, not a source of professional advice. Reminders you create, in the health category or any other, are not medical advice and are no substitute for a doctor, pharmacist, teacher or other professional. Never rely on the app alone for a dose, a medical appointment, or any other deadline where being wrong carries real consequence.

8. Family sharing

Invited members can view and edit shared household data. Owners must transfer or dissolve a multi-member family before deleting their account. Content you contribute to a family stays with that family if you leave.

9. Notifications

Reminders are set on your device and need notification permission. Delivery is not guaranteed if the device is off, permission is denied, or the system delays background work to save battery. Reminders are scheduled per device and are not restored if you reinstall the app.

10. Third-party services

Google Sign-In, Firebase, and Google Gemini process data under their own terms when you use related features.

11. Intellectual property

You keep the rights to content you submit, and grant us a limited licence to host, process and sync it solely to provide the service to you and the family you share it with. That licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backup copies that expire automatically.

12. Disclaimers & liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free AI output, or delivery of reminders. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Termination

You may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend access for Terms violations or risk to the service; where reasonable we will say why and give you a chance to put it right. Disclaimers, liability limits and intellectual property survive termination.
